The School of Information Sciences offers a range of Bachelors, Masters and PhD courses in the areas of Library Studies, Archives and Records Management, Information Technology, Communication and Public Relations, Media Studies, and Publishing. The School was established in 1988 to meet the growing demand for information-related manpower in Kenya. Over the years, the School has produced excellent graduates, many of whom have become influential figures in their respective disciplines both within and outside Kenya.

The School boasts of internationally recognized scholars in the various disciplines offered in the school. Additionally, it benefits from strong links to various institutions and professional association including Indiana University (USA), Bayreuth University (Germany), the Media Council of Kenya (MCK), Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK) and Kenya Association of Records Management and Archivists (KARMA) and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) among others. More details…
